Where were we? Does it matter? Civilised society? Where were we? Dropping part 53 and 54 of the of the ongoing #365ArtDrops thing around East London if you really want to know, that and dealing with some stray vinyl and catching a man at work, the delightfully named Phlegm, up in a cherry picker, on the fifth day of a piece on a very large piece of East London wall

Hang on, this is bon, and released today. “LA NÒVIA est un collectif basé en Haute-Loire qui réunit des musiciens résidant sur un large territoire (Auvergne, Rhône-Alpes, Béarn, Limousin, Cévennes, Franche-Comté). Ce collectif est un lieu de réflexion et d’expérimentation autour des musiques traditionnelles et/ou expérimentales. La pluralité de ces acteurs crée une dynamique et une cohérence esthétique forte.

C’est very bon, and we see rather bon band from back in the day Raging Speedhorn have reformed, everyone reforms in the end, playing Bloodstock this year apparently, nothing ever ends, bands go on and on and on. Decent band back in the day, featured them on an Organ compilation album or two, first ‘proper’ releases back there, a damn fine band back the day.

Talking of bands from back in the day, bands from back in the early early days of Organ, we see our old friends Hellbastard are threatening a new album. Their first demo tape cassette album thing was one of the very first things we ever reviewed back there right at the start of this never ending long since over Organ thing (don’t any of these bands or zines know when to stop?), Hellbastard, Ring, Omnia Opera, No One, Civilised Society, Ullulators, Oroonies….
.
Not sure that first tape did birth the term “crust”, they certainly were in there kicking up a storm back in the days of photocopied zines, cassettes in the post, soap on stamps and tape trading lists
“Ladies and gentlemen, we are proud to announce the official re-release of the record that gave birth to the term “crust”! Originally released in 1986 as a demo-tape, all the songs are here digitally remastered to sound powerful than ever and to blow away all the poor-quality bootlegs around. This is true metal/punk crossover, totally influential! Second press, Lp comes with gold screened cover, “remastered” original artworks, 4 pages inner sheet. Again limited to 500 copies”. Hellbastard said that a few years ago now, just had a look to see if it was on line, everything is on line (besides decent Huge Baby footage).

All we need now is something new from Bristol’s finest Maggot Slayer Overdrive
While we patiently await that here’s some Varukers
..
And why not? More of this tomorrow (maybe)
