Ireland’s rather buoyant instrumentalists Alarmist, a band who have featured regularly here (as well as over on the airwaves of The Other Rock Show) have their debut album Popular Demain out this week   “Popular Demain is an almost orchestral expanse of colour and meandering lines, tightly wrought around a rhythmic core of double drums and guitars”.The band have just let loose this video to tie in with the album release.

Meanwhile down in the Leake Tunnel last Tuesday, lots lots more coverage of that here, the video does it little justice, you really had to be there, still time though, Diane Goldie’s exhibition goes on this weekend with a couple more parties, if they’re anything like the opening then don’t miss them! “So it’s decided, we are having two closing parties. One on Saturday from 4till late at the adjoining bar. Pay bar. The other is Sunday from noon till 6pm in the gallery. Bring a bottle for that one.
