Cowards are back with a new  EP “Still”, released today, December 2nd, on Throatruiner, Deadlight, and Terrain Vague. We’re talking seriously sharp “unmoshable hardcore black metal” and some seriously “thuggish sludge” that’s kind of out there walking on the edge in a slightly different way Apparently the EP also features two “life-crushing” covers – The Police “Every Breath You Take” and The Horrorist “One Night In NYC” – unmoshably thuggish indeed

The Whipstriker are the real raw and blistering Filth Hound deal – we are the filth, we are the filrth, we are, we are…  We’re not talking slickness, and none of that tedious technical metal ponytail nonsense, no studio wizardry – “thank whatever god you worship for this” said someone or other. “Only Filth…” is the golden days of Warfare, the first moves of Venom, the metallic onslaught of Discharge, Hellhammer, Fast Eddie period Motorhead, those days when those Cockney Rejects were going all metal around the edges or the Filth Hounds themselves, Tank. The album came out back in the summer (that’s Summer 3016, not the middle of 1984), and damn and blast, just missed the London date of a European tour the band from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil were on… here, have some proper metal, have some Whipstriker….
