A quick one this morning, we’re off to take in the bloated excess of Frieze, no time for much today although it does feel rather crass to be going to an art fair or thinking about art with everything that’s going on in the Middle East right no. w

Carl Stimpson has a show called Stripe opening this Friday at North London’s Atom Gallery –  “This Friday sees the opening party for our next highly anticipated exhibition. Carl Stimpson will be showing brand new original paintings, screenprint editions and limited edition art objects” Shout the might Atoms. “Atom will be open from 6-9pm, and as with all our opening events, everyone is welcome – there’s no need to RSVP or buy a ticket, just come along! If you’re unable to come on Friday, the exhibition runs until Saturday 4th November, and the work will be available to buy online from next week”.

We like Atom’s bulshit-free approach, we like their just-turn-up attitude, I guess it would be fair to say they;re more on the slick graphic urban art flavoured side of the track and that their gallery is as much a shop and print works as it is a gallery packed with art
