The morning after the night before, Cork Street was a bit full on last night, the Cork Street Party was very busy, lots and lots of people, we’ll be back with a closer look at the art in a moment as well as our Thursday spent at what was a rather conservative slightly disappointing Frieze. There was good art at Frieze, of course there was, how could there not be with that many artists and galleries in the giant white enormo tent? It did feel like everyone was playing it very very safe though, can’t recall a Frieze as conservative and toothless as this year’s. Hirst being presented by Gagosian as the first thing you see when you come in to the main entry point just about sums Frieze London’s collective lack of adventure this year, that traditional Gagosian spot by the entry usually sets the tone. There was good art though, we’ll be back in a bit with a bag load of photos and a word or two on the positive and some of the fallout from Last night’s adventures in Cork Street. More in a bit, watch this space…
