1; The Delines – We can all get this one, it might not be the KKK but we all have a family melmber who thinks voting Tory is okay and Nigel isn’t so bad and leave Boris alone he’s a laff ain’t he, one of us, salt of the earth,,,

Alternative Americana/country act The Delines are thrilled to announce the release of their very first Xmas 7” single, ‘Christmas In Atlantis’. But, listeners beware: this is Christmas Delines-style, not your ordinary Bing Crosby sleigh ride number. The song includes fighting sisters, political knife throwing, possible inappropriate three-way hookups, a despondent grandmother, and – of course – plenty of drinking, disparaging remarks, general family discord and violence…BUT NO SWEARING. The Delines may just have written the most normal Christmas song ever.

‘Christmas In Atlantis’ was recorded at Bocce studio in Vancouver (Washington state) and produced, engineered and mixed by John Morgan Askew. The sleeve (do like that sleeve) was designed by their graphics guru Aaron Draplin, while the 7″ vinyl comes in a strictly limited edition of 1000.

“Long Way Around the Sea” was recorded and performed by Corvair. The song was written by the band Low and originally appeared on Christmas, the Christmas EP by Low, released in 1999 on Kranky Records. The song was recorded by Naubert and Larimer at their home studio in Portland, OR

And we share it every year so why break the tradition? We’ll be back on the otherside, have a happy whatever you wish to celebrate at this time….
