Run it back now, homie don’t shake, here we are on what really does feel like the very very (very) last last day of Summer with one of the sounds of the Summer, well at least around here where these New York tracks have almost been played to death and the devil’s haircut has been rising once more. Born again and shaking, it really is a madness where everything has been bon bon over the last few months and fcuk no, homie don’t shake. We don’t get paid enough to bring you all these, hell, we hardly get a thank you, tell you boss I need a raise, run it back now! New York’s Fcukers have been building a reputation (and annoying auto correctors) all year long, this EP has to be one of the most anticipated releases in ages, well in some circles anyway, and here it is right at the end of a rather fractured Summer, Baggy$$, some of it more subtle that expected, like she’d maybe have things you’d want to talk about when you don’t want to go to da beach while she getcha bon bon…

“The band have quickly earned themselves a fierce reputation for their high-energy live shows — usually announced last-minute, often spread via word of mouth alone, and always sold-out — with their EP launch coming hot on the heels of a run of lauded performances, including a surprise set at Montreal’s Osheaga Festival (where they also played an afterparty with Avalon Emerson, and an Ed Banger 20th Anniversary show with Tiga), a wild pool-party show at the Justice after-party at Le Bain NYC (alongside Hudson Mohawke and Busy P) and their own single launch show at Mehanata, NYC. They were also recently announced to play alongside Confidence Man on their upcoming UK dates — including a sold-out stop at London’s O2 Academy Brixton — as well as performances at Portola festival in SF, an instantly sold out Boiler Room Portola pre-party with Tove, SG Lewis, Peaches, JPEGMAFIA and more, and the bloody Pitchfork London and Paris festivals in November”, none of us need all hype though, they are bon bon, they’re already getting coverage from the music press considered worth quoting, the don’t need any more from us, here’s the links, the Bandcamp, the hero sandwich and the hey. Hey, you jerk. Hey. Hey, will you knock it off with those f’cockamamie bon bons? Gotta run run, our work is done here, over to the cool kids…
