
Here we go then, the dozen or so art shows visited over the weekend were probably the calm before the coming art storm, the two standouts from Friday and Saturday have already been covered, there is more to come from shows visited, maybe? It all really starts with Tracey Emin at White Cube Bermondsey this coming Wednesday 18th September 2024, 5 until 9pm – “Join us for an extended evening preview of Tracey’s latest exhibition, I followed you to the end, at White Cube Bermondsey. No RSVP is necessary and all are welcome. Showcasing new paintings and sculptures, the exhibition journeys through love and loss, mortality and rebirth. Drawing from a recent, transformative experience, Tracey continues her exploration of life’s most profound and intimate moments with renewed intensity”.

Pat Jasan, the latest cut to be released from their third studio album, Golden Triangle, out on 4 October 2024 via God Unknown Records. Pat Jasan is accompanied by a brilliantly choreographed video starring The Meyer Dancers, a London based dance group specialising in go-go and psychedelic dancing. The Meyer Dancers take their inspiration from the original ‘60s go-go dancers, and their name from Russ Meyer (director of Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!), while the track itself is named after a controversial community-led anti-drug movement in northern Myanmar, whose methods have included armed vigilante drug raids, forced rehabilitation, hard labour and religious indoctrination… Here’s the video and the Bandcamp link
