Shall we write a new editorial? Oh the endless demand and who needs a damn editorial? No time for editorials, let the actual music do the actual walking and the actual talking. Exact same thing again, another five (or so) slices of music that have passed our way recently and however you like to slice it and of course it was the price of oranges and here comes the editorial. Don’t be flippant she said, how could it ever be flippant? I can’t remember why she said that now, in one ear, out the other, we have a bad attitude here apparently, no respect for those who work in the music industry, well no poop Sherlock, have you only just worked that one out?
Five? There’s something rather compelling about five. Cross-pollination? Five more? Is there another way? A better way? A cure for pulling flying rabbits out of the clouds? Is there a rhyme? Is there a reason? Was there ever a reason? What do reasons make? Five more? Snake oil? Everything must go and no, we never do and the proof of the pudding is in that proof reading. When we started this thing, oh never mind, it doesn’t matter why we started this damn thing and like we asked last time, does anyone bother reading the editorial? Does anyone ever actually look down the rabbit hole or is it all just method acting? We do really try to listen to everything that comes in, we do it so you don’t have to, we are very (very) very very picky about what we actually post on these fractured pages or about what gets played on the radio or indeed what we hang in a gallery. Cut to the chase, never mind the editorial, skip this bit, there’s loads of music further down the page, well five or so pieces of music that have come our way in the last few days and what’s Wordsworth? Just the basic facts and links and those sounds (and visuals), that’s surely all you need from us?
Here we go, five more slices of music that have recently come our way, this time we start with something new from Northampton, Massachusett…

1: Bunnies, from Northampton, Massachusetts, have released a first single, Vile Child, from upcoming full-length LP, along with a rather fine video directed by Arturo Baston. The single is out today, whatever day this is? Today is whatever day you want it to be and the single just came out, it sent us down a rabbit hole of older video discoveries and a search for more about a band we hadn’t heard of an hour ago, this is what Organ is about, the here and now and all that floating anarchy…
“Hi all – I am overwhlemed with joy to be sharing with you the first single from the new Bunnies Horror Spectrum LP. The song is called Vile Child and it encapsulates the off-kilter, unclassifiable yet familiar lifer weirdo vibe about Bunnies that I find so enduring, and quite frankly, fun. This is a party that I don’t want to leave even when the lights come up and I am taken aback by the havoc we just wrecked. The video is directed by Arturo Baston (Mudhoney, Oh Sees, Bill Callahan) and the band and I agreed that he really nailed the vibe”.
Here’s the Bandcamp and more about the album that comes out in late April
More….
Here’s some more, oh yes, we like this, this one’s from a year ago….
And who are boebeck and why not capital B?
2: boebeck – From somewhere in Central Europe although they don’t seem to want to say where – “boebeck’s ‘evil under the sun’ mixes anger and resignation with bitter humour, a combination made ever more significant with the song’s unraveling, an ode to the indie band’s fondness of haunting vocals and rhythmic variation. A product of a year of personal and musical introspection, boebeck continues to build their catalogue with ‘evil under the sun’ in a way that is unique to them: storytelling without conclusions accompanied by experimental sound and dynamic fragility. The music video, made by photographer Wanda Martin, succeeds in depicting the elusive nature of the sort of unity that grows stronger in the face of emotional turmoil”.

3: DIIV – Everyone Out (Mount Kimbie Remix) from the band pronounced dive if we ahve it right? A frmic which kind of meands it may or may not have more Mount kimbie DNA than Diiv DNA and whatever the case, we rather like it…
“Today, DIIV return with the release of a new remix of “Everyone Out” by acclaimed Warp Records electronic outfit Mount Kimbie. The new track follows two other recent remixes of “Brown Paper Bag” and “Raining On Your Pillow” from Dutch producer Upsammy, and Bournemouth electronic composer and DJ, Daniel Avery, respectively…” There’s a whole load of live dates just announced, more on the band’s website or here
And this one is from a year or so ago…
4: The Raveonettes – “We’re back!!! Pa’ahi II will be released shortly followed by another new album later in the year! US/EU/Asia tour dates will be released shortly! RAVE ON XXX SUNE & SHARIN” Here’s their website should you need to know more, they’re sounding like they’re back and on top form….
5: Bob Mould doing just what you want Bob Mould to do, something from the new album Here We Go Crazy, an album that came out this week. Here’s some links
And while we’re here, everyone out: a short film about DIIV in London
