Always got time for Haal and of course time for the number 43. A quick Organ Thing of the Day today, places to be. This is a particually warn piece of introspective goodness from the Bristol band, Brooding, cathartic, as big as ever, maybe not weighing as heavy as they sometimes do. They’re a band we’ve constantly been featuring…
“Plate 43 (…Or Standing on the Toes of Giants) is out now to listen to everywhere. It’s a song in which its bones have been present since the inception of this band, so to finally have it out in the world is simultaneously cathartic and a bit confronting. The video was created by Sam Chilton and Will Newcombe utilising photographs from discarded rolls of film, of which all were fished out by a dumpster diver in America that Will came across online. After becoming personally enamoured with all these three dimensional, very lucid and very real lives showcased in the photos, it only felt fitting to use them as a visual tribute for a song that used to be titled Sonder. We hope you all enjoy”.
Which one was plate 43?
