Well, now, some new Spratleys and magnificent it is. A first almost fragile taste of something blooming and splendid, a first taste and a sparkling new offering from their upcoming album, Bloom. Says here that “if you listen carefully you can also hear Sarah (no less!) singing like a bird upon it. We had to find her in the woods. When she came out she had all sticks in her hair”. Sarah being Sarah from Cardiacs and now of Sarah of big wooden poles…
“With LOVE to ALL the Friends and Family – for Tim, for love, for all – here is KOIPTICS” Say Spratleys and yes, this is where the spirit is now, this is where the magic can be found, this is where hearts swell.
And a fine video made by Jesse Cutts as well. I do so like the way Spratleys are evolving in such a fine fine way, in just the right way. Tim is Tim Smith of course, Tim who started Spratleys with singer Jo Spratley, Tim of Cardiacs for those who don’t know. Yes, this is where that magic and that spirit is now….
