Introduction by Vincent Moon : NEW FILM FROM STRASBOURG. A SHORT PORTRAIT OF ONDES MARTENOT’S GRANDE DAME, CHRISTINE OTT:

“I was passing through Strasbourg for the first time – discovering the “capitale de l’Est” over 48 hours only. It’s only in the train arriving that I remembered there was one special musician from the city I wanted to meet for a while – Christine Ott (…) It took me a few messages to get her number and get in touch – we aimed for a short morning encounter just before my train to Paris had to leave. I went there not knowing if we would find time to record anything on such a surprise first encounter – and after a warm first hour of meeting and sharing stories, we had only 30minutes left to make something. We did three takes – allowing Christine to explore various modes of this fascinating instrument, and especially to reach a deeper trance state with her etheric “Ondes”. The result is this short piece of music, captured in her studio in a quick and beautiful dance. We hope you will enjoy this intimate moment”
