Before anything else, we’re not talking about the Organ Radio CDs we released on ORG Records back there. That was a series of compilation CDs that came out at the end of the last century before the internet really kicked in. A series of 21 albums that featured hundreds of bands and artists who were kicking around the undergrowth at the time – Cay, Pulkas, Cardiacs, Brian Jonestown Massacre, Sea Nymphs, Huge Baby, Cynical Smile, Earthtone9, My Vitriol, Map and many many more… No, this page isn’t about that, this is about yer actual radio.
Organ has had a relationship with London’s rather unique, rather special arts radio station Resonance FM since the start of the century. Right now the Other Rock Show runs on the station weekly on at 8pm on Sunday evenings (with a repeat on Thursday mornings). We have had a number of shows on the station and in one way or another have been broadcasting on the station for twenty years or more. In the past there has been the Organ Hour featuring both art and music including interview with those involved in the London arts scene, there has been the Other Rock Show with a focus on rock music beyond the notions of 4/4, there has been one off specials, like that rather emotional Tim Smith special, that legendary eleven hour broadcast that celebrated Organ’s 20th birthday in 2006, a broadcast that featured guests dropping in to the marathon live broadcast all night. Right now, we are just into the Autumn 2025 season at Resonance and Marina is enjoying another run of live Other Rock Show broadcasts.
The Other Rock Show, brought to you by Organ, is back on air via London’s rather unique, rather special Arts radio station Resonance 104.4FM for a Summer season. Now on an hour earlier at the new time of 8pm. The show, driven by Marina Organ, presents an hour of music each week, music that uses unconventional structures and ‘other’ time signatures, music gathered from the worldwide undergrounds of math rock, avant prog, prog rock, weird electronica, strange pop and more…
