The always rather lush (shall we call it dream pop?) MAZZY STAR are back with their first album for a long long time. – first album in some seventeen years so it seems. The rather beautiful California is from the new album Seasons Of Your Day, recorded by the band’s original line up, it features contributions from the late Bert Jansch and My Bloody Valentine’s Colm Ó Cíosóigis. The new album is out in late September via Rhymes Of An Hour Records.
