.

breadtrailLouisville’s post-rock forefathers Slint recently announced the release of a limited edition deluxe box set version of their seminal album Spiderland on Touch and Go Records, out April 15th.  Spiderland (Remastered) Box Set is now available for pre-order. A DVD of the Lance Bangs directed Slint documentary, titled Breadcrumb Trail, as well as exclusive, DVD-only bonus footage, will be included in each of the box sets. The 90 minute documentary will also see a theatrical release this March, with screenings so far confirmed in SF, LA and Philadelphia, including a Q&A with Bangs and co.

Says Bangs, “My new feature length documentary Breadcrumb Trail is about Slint and the Louisville music culture they emerged from.  It includes footage going back to the early 1990s that I shot when repeatedly driving up from Athens, GA to Louisville to try to chase rumors of what they guys were up to.  Over the years I tracked down more stories about them, then began filming interviews with each of the band members and their contemporaries.  We also unearthed some unseen/uncirculated footage from their few live performances as well as the writing and arranging of Spiderland.”
