ORGAN THING OF THE DAY: PISSED JEANS at Brooklyn’s Knitting Factory…

ELBOW TOE

ELBOW TOE

Monday Monday, things things things, this Organ thing isn’t that serious these days, we were kind of serious about it once, these days we’re enjoying just throwing things out there. Throwing things that cross our path (while we’re busy with the serious business of slinging paint), slinging things we think worth mentioning, throwing them out there in a no thrills way for you to check out should you wish to.  Here’s that rather gorgeous HUMAN PYRAMIDS track we shared with you the other day, now available as a free download – it isn’t anything  that revolutionary and you’ve probably heard this kind of thing many times over the last few anthemic post-whatever years or so,  doesn’t alter the fact that it is rather glorious  though….

PISSED JEANS  – “Hey The Organ, I thought you might dig this new All Axis video for Pissed Jeans’ “You’re Different (In Person).” This was probably my favorite video to shoot so far, as Honeys was one of my absolute favorite records of 2013 and very, very few live bands bring the insanity like Pissed Jeans. If you want to feature the video on The Organ or just blast it out on social media, we would be very grateful! Hope you like the video! CP” – All Axis Music

Here’s the All Axis words on the video – This week, we’re excited to release our video of the mighty Pissed Jeans unleashing “You’re Different (In Person)” to a rowdy crowd at Brooklyn’s Knitting Factory. In 2013, the band released Honeys, their most incredible, punishing, hilarious record yet on Subpop Records. The songs on Honeys “are the kind of relatable, mundane, niggling things that keep you up late at night. The record has overtures about the misery and shackles of being a responsible adult and the shame of one’s own narcissism… Pissed Jeans trucks in menacing songs about insecurity, and nobody has ever done it better.” – Subpop
