SAINT AGNES

SAINT AGNES

Friday earfood, too hot to hang around anywhere near a computer today. here’s some stuff, I’m out of here…. Save our city…..

“Cinematic psych duo Saint Agnes celebrated the release of their their brand new single Old Bone Rattle on June 10th with a sold out show at The Sebright Arms. The single is out via London based Energy Snake Records (home of Vuvuvultures). Raw, bold and sultry, the title track showcases the band’s trademark Ennio Morricone rock n’ roll style, trippy Western inspired psychedelic-rock in its purest form. The B-side sees the pair – Jon Tufnell of The Lost Souls Club and Lola Colt’s Kitty Austen – duet on a cover of The Doors classic Roadhouse Blues.”

LIVE DATES 24th June The Old Blue Last – London w/Blossoms, 18th July Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen – London w/Black Market Karma/

London experimental duo Gum Takes Tooth release brand new track ‘They Watch Through Soil’ this afternoon exclusively via YouTube. The collaboration with their erstwhile second drummer Jaxson Payne is taken from a one-off techno and electronica-influenced set that was largely improvised live at a Corsica Studios show.

Directed by Ethan Race, the video captures the intricate drumming interplay that makes Gum Takes Tooth such a formidable and unique prospect. The track will not feature on their forthcoming second album, due out later in the year.

Personnel:

Jussi Brightmore – Synth, Noise, Vocals
Thomas Fuglesang – Drums

What?

Two man everything machine endlessly seeking what-the-fuck aural mesmerism in a maze like arrangement of physically overwhelming rituals of dance music, sound system culture, doom and pan-cultural psychedelics. Each member focusing intently on unmediated rhythmic interaction between crowd and performer, directing the energy towards unexplored altered states.  Dark primal frequencies are felt and not heard, unremitting circular drums shatter and rebirth whilst a cast of vocal characters provide an astral guide through these dizzying manipulations.
