ORGAN THINGS: THE LAZE, back in prog as f action, AMEN, back in punk as flip action, SAINT AGNES just excellent…

Organ Thing of the Day…. Fresh indulgence from Merseyside, The ever excellent prog-as-f Laze are back in action.  No time to go play internet detective and gather together all the facts, something to do with grasshoppers and the phantom of something or other… a new album on August 12th, don’t ask me, I’m up to my neck in paint and organnising too many events at the same time to be spending time here sorting out all this Organ stuff.  Got to love The Laze, proper prog, no compromise, pure over the garden wall imperial aerosol king stuff that can’t be hijacked….

If you missed the last excellent Laze album then here it is while you wait for the new one

.And here’s the a-side of the new SAINT AGNES single that we fed you the Roadhouse Blues b-side of a few days back….

AMEN back in throbbing metallic punk rawk action and with some UK dates as well….

Hang on, here’s a stolen/lazy cut n paste press  release for you “Incendiary LA punks AMEN, led by firebrand frontman Casey Chaos, are working on a brand new album for release later this year and are set for a long awaited return to the UK this August.  In addition, the band are excited to announce the enlistment of drum legend, Dave Lombardo to their ranks.  The refreshed line up – completed by John Fahnestock on bass, Duke Decter and John King on guitars –  are already neck deep in work on a new album, with longtime producer, Ross Robinson

Lombardo enthuses “I am very proud to have been asked to be part of this amazing production with Casey Chaos and Ross Robinson.  My career in thrash was created from my love of the punk genre. There is an excitement in this particular style of music that’s vital for me. It’s aggressive, honest and needed.  I’m looking forward to performing with AMEN before returning to Europe with PHILM in September.”

Casey Chaos echoes the sentiment, stating; “It’s great to be working again with Dave, this time in AMEN.  He brought so much power, aggression and passion to the music on the new record, in a way only he could only deliver.  Without question this is THE most important album I’ve ever made.  I’m looking forward to unleashing it live and destroying ourselves for your pleasure!”

Stay tuned for more news on the release in due course.  The forthcoming UK dates rack up as follows: Mon 11th Aug – NOTTINGHAM Rock City. Tue 12th Aug – GLASGOW Cathouse, Wed 13th Aug – MANCHESTER Sound Control, Thu 14th Aug – LONDON Underworld, Sat 16th Aug – NORTHAMPTON Alt Fest (main stage)

Here, have some previous Amen from back in 1995 while you await the new chaos….

Enough of this, no time for all  this Amen stuff, got to get on with the serious business of hanging paintings on walls, no place for any amen in very serious work of art and flesh and…
