ORGAN: “A hummer” so says Fripp, the new King Crimson album that is…

kingcrimson_coverA hummer? A man with a tapeworm in his brain? Never mind any of that, yer man said it was a hummer. A feeding frenzy? Humming?
“A hummer” said yer man Fripp as he described the proposed new King Crimson live album. Of course it will be a hummer, how could it not be? So Robert Fripp has confirmed the release of a live mini-album featuring the latest lineup of King Crimson, and like we just told you, he’s described the 40-minute title, due in January, as “a hummer.”

Apparently the recordings were made on the band’s recent US tour, a tour featuring drummers Gavin Harrison, Bill Reiflin and Pat Mastelotto alongside bassist Tony Levin, saxophonist Mel Collins and guitarist-vocalist Jakko Jakszyk. Fripp says in a video clip: “We’re just completing the mix on Starless, live in Los Angeles, and this really is a hummer.”  Jakszyk confirms: “It’s humming like crazy.”

We’re told the album will be released on January 13 via DGM Live. meanwhile we’re still waiting for UK dates from the band who have been busy touring the US this year.
