ORGAN THING: Fresh experimental earfood, Ni plus Poil equals PinioL, plus the gloriously named Pigrider, the rather refined Wolf – Barsky – Videll and the delicate beauty of Fern Knight ..

PINIOL

PINIOL

Things?  We’re still here bring you the finest from the musical undergrowth   Two of the finest contemporary bands in France have joined forces, Ni an Poil are combining to bring the almost overwhelming multi-headed musical beast called Piniol.  The two of them announced last Thursday, via their Facebook page (here’s the link again, Piniol), that  “PinioL is standing today!” although this track seems to have been hiding on Bandcamp for a few months now.

.

.

whooo, stop press: Looks like they removed the track, don’t you just hate it when you cover a band and they respond by removing the track and not bothering to say a thing, not even a quick “thanks for coverage”, that’s bands for you though, bands, artists, dogs, cats, rather liked that track as well….

Meanwhile over in the USA, the rather refined Wolf – Barsky – Videll – live at the Velvet Lounge, Washington. Jeff Barsky, Chris Videll, James Wolf – Meditative guitar / electronics / violin people from Insect Factory,  TagCloud, Fern Knight (one of them did work experience at Org Records back in the day, good to see Mr Barsky survived intact!)

.

Which in turn took us to this rather delicately beautiful band, wonderful….
