ORGAN: A bag of music; Pale Kids, Phronesis, Dirty Girl, Tuusc, Left With Pictures…

Jack of all tirades? Things and such? Going off/Filth abound again? So we haven’t been here for a day or two, there were leaves to attend to, that and thorns and the priorities have shifted now, sure, we’ll still point you in the direction of an interesting piece of music or two now and again should something interesting enough pass our way, but we’re not here to be part of some band’s marketing plan or to massage the ego of some unpleasantly power-craized PR person who thinks everything revolves around them, the music industry was mostly a really unpleasant place, .  Here, have a link to a rather healthy piece on Lindsay Kemp, far more interesting than anything we have to offer today….

Lindsay Kemp & mother (Mick Rock)

Lindsay Kemp is arguably the most significant living figure in modern dance. From appearances in cult films The Wicker Man and Jubilee, to helping create the visual identities of Kate Bush and David Bowie, he has been a recurrent figure in the avant-garde for six decades. May 3, 1938 was the day the world was graced by Lindsay Kemp’s arrival – he lived with his mother in Birkenhead and it was there he took his first steps not in walking, but dancing Lindsay Kemp: 60 years at the cutting edge

Rather like this, a rather unobtrusively beautiful thing from Tuusc that crossed our path a couple of days ago, don’t know who or what Tuusc is, don’t really need to know, just rather enjoyed the rather warm song…

.

And here’s something from the new Phronesis album, something taken from ‘Parallax’ due for release on 8th April 2016 on Edition Records.  “About Parallax: A decade of performing, touring and recording has given the three players in Phronesis a matchless rapport, which inspires an ever-flowing fountain of new music, captured to perfection on this, the Anglo-Scandinavian trio’s sixth CD and their fourth for Edition Records”.
