International bright young what?  Where are we today, there was a whole bag load of music ready to go up here today, but no, none of it was quite good enough, the new Iggy thing is the only survivor from the morning cull. Iggy‘s bit of Post Pop Depression just about survived, not entirely sure it should have done? His new album is out in a couple of weeks…

Let’s park this here, probably been shared to death by now (as is the Iggy thing up there) but what the hell,  something created by the Orkestra Obsolete, this rather fine version of the New Order classic gives  us a taste of what the song would have sounded like in 1933, using only instruments available at the time, instruments such as the theremin, musical saw, harmonium and prepared piano. Quite a change from the Powertron Sequencer, Moog Source synthesizer, and Oberheim DMX drum machine used to record the song in the 80s…. More on this via the BBC

Coming up in a couple of weeks then, Cultivate presents an art show in a basement… Following on from January’s art show in a Railway Arch, in March Cultivate will collaborate with the BSMT art space over in their basement in Dalston, London N16.

Once again, in the style of the recent Reveal and Play shows, Debaser will be a cross-pollination of artistic style, the more adventurous side of street art jousting with contemporary fine artists, print makers, performers and more. A group show and once again a four day gathering of pro-active artists.  The show will open on Thursday evening March 24th at 6pm until 9pm and then run from 11am until 7pm from Friday March 25th until Sunday March 27th
