Tiger Tooth

Whatever day is like Sunday, everyday is, the metaphor is, everyday is like Sunday said the iconic man on the radio,  as bright spells developed leading to possible thunderstorms later and what about tiger tooth anyway? Iconic, stop saying that, it is not iconic it is not stunning. Tiger Tooth are not iconically stunning either, neither is the colour of your sunglasses or that band no one has ever heard of. “Tiger Tooth have shaken up the world of techno with their unique ability to infuse their music into a visual experience, unlike anything you’ve ever seen before”, don’t ask me, hang on, wait for the sub drop my dude, or something iconic like that. .

TIGER TOOTH are a new Brooklyn electronic music and multimedia collaboration of musician and videographer Johnny Siera, producer Will Boussard and video artist Sofia Szamosi (we always did have a lot of time for the muthafugging Death Set around here)

Mexico’s Mexrrissey have a new single and an excellent video, Cada Día es Domingo, a brand new mexover of Morrissey’s Every Day Is Like Sunday filmed in the iconic Salford Lads Club (for once iconic can be used, not sure just how iconically Mexican they actually are though?).

.

Mexrrissey’s trajectory has been rapid since they debuted in the UK in April 2015, playing sold out shows in Manchester and a memorable night at the Barbican Centre in London, not to mention gigs in New York, Tucson and Los Angeles. These were followed up by their April UK tour, culminating in a London sell-out show at Camden’s infamous Electric Ballroom.

The line-up of the band led by Camilo Lara (Mexican Institute of Sound) includes Chetes (Zurdok) on guitar, Jay de la Cueva (Moderatto / Titan) on bass, Ceci Bastida (Tijuana No) on keyboards, Adam Jodorowsky (Adanowsky) on guitar, Liber Teran (Los de Abajo) on guitar, Alejandro Flores (violin player for Cafe Tacuba), Alex Gonzalez on trumpet (Twin Tones), Ricardo Najera on drums (Furland), Sergio Mendoza and Jacob Valenzuela (both of Calexico).

Mexrrissey have just announced some 2017 UK dates but hey, we’ve not hit summer 2016 yet, we’re not going to start posting dates for next year, here, have some Made in Mexico
