Band Together: A Benefit for Ukraine, is just as it says on the tin, a collection of bands coming together and compilation album that acts as a benefit for Ukraine. This one is a U.S compilation of Ukrainian and American punk, post-punk, hardcore, folk, and metal bands. Death Pill, a band who you might have been made aware of via our pages and airwaves in the last month, made us aware of the release, they have a track on there, as do Terrorscum, actually there’s some really good tracks on the album. The irony found in that we’re now all finding out about bands like Death Pill and that they’re now sharing space with bands like Unsane is not lost of the band from Kyiv, we and they note that it takes a madman and a war to bring us all together.
“Death, displacement, destruction. The war in Ukraine is an atrocity. In this moment, Ukrainian voices need to be heard and Americans need to stand in solidarity. Most of all, we need to work to overcome Russia’s invasion and aid the victims of this unprovoked war. All proceeds from this compilation of Ukrainian and American punk, post-punk, hardcore, folk, and metal bands go to Razom (Together in Ukrainian), a New York-based non-profit organization providing aid across Ukraine
