Welcome to Burst. This time, just like last time, we’ll let the art do the talking first rather than clutter the top of the page with words or introductions, there are some thoughts down at the bottom of the page, under the art along with those oh so vital links. Please do scroll to the foot of the page for those all important links to all the artists, the links are the vital things once you’ve explored the art
Please click on an image to enlarge it or to run the slide show and see each piece in full and do please please please view it all on a decent sized monitor, something more respectful than just a dam phone for gawdsake, surely the art deserves more than just a tiny phone… Thank you
We would really like to say it again…
We would really like to think, or maybe hope, just as we said last time, that it as simple as us just saying hey, here’s some art and here’s the links to the artists, off you go.
We really would like to think it was that simple. This is the 22nd on-line exhibition from Cultivate and we think, if we’ve counted it right, the 176th Cultivate art show in all. Once again this Exhibition is brought to you by Cultivate founders Sean Worrall and Emma Harvey, once again we invited our fellow artists to join us and once again we invite you to explore the art and artists gathered from all over the land and indeed the globe. Artists from London, from all over the UK, from all over the world.
Of course, if you are interested in buying art from any of the artists, you should go speak to them via the links, that is all between you and the artist and nothing to do with us.
We like putting these shows together, we said this last time (and the time before), it forces us to look at other people’s art a little more, it makes us explore people just a little more, we’re forced to get to know the artists who make the art just a little more than we probably would. Art excites and I hope that, once again, this show does. It doesn’t really matter about the detail here, it doesn’t matter about the size or if the painting is in oil or the size of the print, not right here, not in terms of this show, for this is on on-line show, everything is flat, everything is the same size. Some of the pieces comes with details, some with just a name, this is deliberate, it is about a flavour and a link The important thing here is that you react, that you think “oh, she looks like an exciting artist” or “I like what he’s doing, let me hit the link and find out more”. Please please go follow the artist’s social media feeds, get on their mailing lists and maybe see their art for real at some point in the future if you get a chance. This is about connecting things, connecting people, about cross-pollination, about artists coming together to make things happen and about Emma and I shouting, “hey, look at this artist”, I do hope this show is as simple as that. hopefully it really is as simple as that? Alright? Next? Still? Still here, Saturation, Deflect, Book, Impart, Burst Shall we do it again next month?
Thank you, art excites (sw)
LINKS TO THE ARTISTS
Do please use those links now, that is the real point here, the pointing you in the direction of some exciting artists we hope you will go explore and connect with (The links will mostly take you to the artist’s Instagram feeds, artists tend to keep their Instagram pages more up-to-date and they do have more links on their Instagram feeds)
And that was it, a 22nd on-line exhibition and something like the 176th Cultivate show in all. A big big thanks to anyone and everyone who has visited the exhibition, a big big thanks to all involved in the show. None of the artists were charged a submission fee or anything else, everything here was done for free…
And if you do feel like making a small donation – We bring all this art, music and underculture to you for free, we really don’t want to clutter up our pages with annoying adverts, no one wants that, but it does take up a lot of time, hours and hours of time. If you should feel like supporting Organ/Cultivate (for it is one in the same) by making a small donation to help keep all this flowing that would be delightful, thank you.
Coming next? Well maybe these on line shows are monthly now, we did six in the first six months of 2021, this is our fourrh monthly show of 2022, I expect we will follow it up with another online show in May and maybe another in June?
