Half Way Home have posted their latest live music session, a session by Squid Pisser recorded in Solana Beach, California. Who are Half Way Home? Don’t ask us, looks like they have some good sessions to explore though and Squid Pisser have just signed to SkinGraft Records so of course we’re interested
“Our first release of 2024: We present to you the incomparable and indomitable chaos incarnate that is Squid Pisser. This band dispenses a tactical onslaught of power via the thousands of riffs that they pack tightly into each song. Every sonic strike heard here is packed with a sinister power, and their blending of genres is awe inspiring, grinding down to the core and wailing to screaming highs in the span of mere seconds. San Diego would’ve been dominated by Squid Pisser had they been around in the 90s and early 2000s, playing alongside some of the great punk projects of the day, but how lucky are we to share the experience of them existing and destroying in the now, the year 2024, where this music still reigns supreme to so many and is created and performed with the same deep ferocity that we’ve loved for decades. Can’t help but get a little emotional about the never ending spirit of music, can ya?”
More from the Squid via SkinGraft when they’re ready to give us more, here’s a bit we ran late last year - ORGAN THING: For the sake of clarity or the price of noise, Skin Graft have gone and signed three new bands in the shape of Squid Pisser, Hyper Gal and Bunuel who appear to feature Oxbow’s Eugene S. Robinson…
Meanwhile we’re off ot explore Half Way Home…
Deaf Club is a savage sound bath dripping with sardonicism: a blastbeat-centric hardcore punk assault channeling crust, thrash, and grind (un)sensibilitie
