No time to take umbrage today, just a quick parish notice, we have places to be, the Greatest Gathering is calling, could be the festival of the year (there is ArcTanGent though), check back in early next week to see if it was. a quick parish notice because Yowie have just announced a new album called Take Umbrage. Right now you can hear one piece of music from the album that is due out in a couple of months on October 1st. Said first track is something called Grimgribber which really is a delicious title for a typically untypical wonderfully wonderful Yowie piece and we rush this news at you today for today is Bandcamp Friday, a day when all money goes direct to the label/artist and Bandcamp wave their usual cut of the dosh paid. Today would a good day to support the ever excellent SkinGraft record label and preorder that album or grab that one track. SkinGraft being a label who constantly bring us challenging rewarding music. More on the Yowie album in a day or two, here for right now is a very fine first taste…

ORGAN THING: Pili Coït and Yowie, a split album on Dur et Doux and SkinGraft Records – “Split? There’s nothing divisive about it”. Two highly recommended bands challenging both themselves and you and me with what surely will be one of the albums of the year when it comes to list these things…

ORGAN THING: Japanese experimental two piece Hyper Gal’s Pure album lands via SkinGraft – They’re a beautiful challenge, a noise, relentless, not an onslaught, always inviting, like they want to pull you in rather than chase you away, actually this is joyous…

ORGAN THING: Koenjihyakkei and their label, SkinGraft Records will re-issue or indeed revisit the glories of their outrageously progressive Angherr Shisspa album this month…
