Shall we write a new editorial? Who needs a damn editorial let alone a new one? Who needs Organ for that matter? No time for editorials, let the actual music do the actual walking and the actual talking. Exact same thing again, another five (or so) slices of music that have passed our way recently and however you like to slice it and of course it was the price of apples and here comes the editorial

Five? There’s something rather compelling about five. Cross-pollination? Five more? Is there another way? A better way? A cure for pulling flying swordfish out of the clouds? Is there a rhyme? Is there a reason? Was there ever a reason? What do reasons make? Five more? Cake oil? Everything must go somewhere and no, we never do and the proof of the pudding is in that proof reading. When we started this thing, oh never mind, it doesn’t matter why we started this damn thing, we never should have done and like we asked last time, does anyone bother reading the editorial? Does anyone ever actually look down the rabbit hole or is it all just method acting? We do really try to listen to everything that comes in, we do it so you don’t have to, we are very (very) very very picky about what we actually post on these fractured pages or about what gets played on the radio or indeed what we hang in a gallery. Cut to the chase, never mind the editorial, skip this bit, there’s loads of music further down the page, well five or so pieces of music that have come our way in the last few days and what’s Wordsworth? Just the basic facts and links and those sounds (and visuals), that’s surely all you need from us?

Here we go, five more slices of music that have recently come our way, this time we start with something from Lepzig…

1: Ambulanz – says here that “good things come in threes”, actually it was said by somebody who says they’ve been waiting for Ambulanz’s third release for quite some time . This is something off this new (much awaited it would appear) III album that’s about to be released on It’s Eleven Records. “What an amazing track!” says whoever said it “The Leipzig squad have evolved the catchy angular garage-punk deployed on II into a new territory that is much more arty and dynamic…” Don’t ask us, we know nothing about being arty or dynamic, never heard or indeed heard of Ambulanz before, this first rather spiky punky first taste kind of goes off and things though, we like what we hear, we look forward to more. Here’s the Bandcamp should you require more details

2: Yowie – More Yowie, a previously mentioned slice of the new album, Taking Umbrage, a new album that’s out in October, an album we shall no doubt be focused a little more on in a couple of weeks or so if we haven’t knocked it all this Organ stuff on the head by then. Here’s the new video and the Badcamp or indeed the Bandcamp is down there and the music and the falling upstairs in a gloriously controlled way and the rest of it is there to be listened to, you really don’t need our words, you know the score, you know Yowie are always worth your time. The single was premiered on some website or other this morning although I would have sworn we featured it a couple of weeks ago, who knows – ORGAN THING: Hear a first rather fine taste of the new Yowie album right here… Here’s the video, we hadn’t featured the video before…

2 and a bit: Die Spitz and a quick bit of Punishers, a piece of music and a video that previews the upcoming Die Spitz debut album Something to Consume out September 12th via Third Man Records. It does kind of positively sound like a lot of that poppy grungy 90s stuff that we all consumed back, they are doing it rather well…

Die Spitz are from Austin, Texas, you can here a little more of the debut album on Bandcamp, why do we do all this?

3: Pain Magazine “is a new project born from the meeting of post-hardcore trio Birds in Row and industrial techno duo Maelstrom & Louisahhh. Combining raw guitars and electronic textures, the group explores themes of power, belief, and transformation through intense sound and uncompromising lyrics. Formed during a spontaneous studio session, Pain Magazine brings together two worlds to create something bold and unfiltered”.

“Horse Song marks the most personal and contemplative entry in Pain Magazine’s catalogue so far, hinting at the emotional depth that awaits on Violent God” and well, here’s another slice of the album Violent God that’s on October 3rd, 2025 via Humus Records. We’ll leave you with these two slice while we go explore the album and do the other million or so things we need to get done. The mountain of albums waiting is really out of control now and

4: Brutal Pink – “Hey Organ people. We’re Brutal Pink, an electronic act from Manchester, UK. Our third single, Heartache, is a dark, synth-driven track featuring the splendid vocals of German-born artist Madil Hardis… As a new band, we’d be grateful if you could consider us for coverage or a review. Thanks in advance for taking the time to listen.” – We always take the time to listen, everything that comes in here does get listened to, hell, we just gave the new Bon Jovi single that soemone sent in a few minutes, every single thing gets listen to, not everything gets covered (Bon Jovi probably don’t need our coverage, you’d be surprised by some of the things that do and don’t get sent in here, Bon Jovi’s people think we’re worth talking to, Alphabet on the other hand, well…).

Brutal Pink look and sound interesting, we do only have this one intriguing track, they have us curious…

Hey, we looked for more, there’s not a lot yet, here’s some more Brutal Pink and the brutal truth is that where they’re going is that clear at the moment, we’ll wait around and see, it might well be that they’re going to take things to a place we might like to go to, watch this space I guess…

Upchuck

5: Upchuck – Say’s here on the press release that this is what Beastie Boys might have sounded like if they had been a punk band, hey, we’ve got some news for you music PR person….

So what’s the score here? “Today Atlanta’s Upchuck – vocalist KT, guitarists Mikey Durham and Hoff, bassist Ausar Ward, and drummer/vocalist Chris Salado – share their newest single “Tired,” the ferocious opening track of their forthcoming new album I’m Nice Now (due out October 3rd). The track finds KT desperately trying to keep her feelings of hopelessness at bay. Alongside a thunderous beat and scalding guitar riffs, she confronts the constant spectacle of social injustice that has become a daily drudgery for her generation: “How many times I gotta tell ‘em that our pockets cryin’?… How many people you gon’ lie to and say you’re not lyin’?” Her vicious vocal performance spirals over and over like the endless depressing news cycle, but it’s not a signal of defeat; it’s a sharp critique, maybe even a threat, to the powers that be: “And I’m tired of the darker news / And I’ve tried warning you / It feels right scaring you.”

There’s more of the new Upchuck album on their Bandcamp page and we do want more, this is what we want, this will more than do, I see the Beasties point that was being made, love the production values, love it love it love it… we’ll probably be back with some more if and when, Un Momento as it were, these Five Things pages are just about quick bites…

And here, have some classic raw as flip Descendents while we’re in the neighbourhood…

We’re out of here, yeah we know there’s another track from that forthcoming Cardiacs Family album just been let loose, we’ll deal with that in one big lump closer to the album release…

Here’s more from the Upchuck album, didn’t we share this one already, hey, we’ll share it again, shall we proof read this page now? Nah, you get the idea…

Well it is kind of maximalist, this latest Cardiacs offering, effervescent as they would have it, more of that maximalist sound and well, turn on, turn it off again, coming up, coming down and some of it don’t half sound like The Who and Doctor Jim and, turn it on, turn up and the second or third single from the new album depending on where you see the release of Ditzy Scene and the tracks on that b-side way back of the start of all this as fitting in or not fitting in now. You can hear where Tim was going before he went off and things…
