Today’s Slice Of Art, we did say we would do this, maybe not every single day, more often than not though, there can never be too much art on these pages, here comes slice

A simple feasture, just an almost daily slice of the art posted (no way am I committing to doing it every day, I’m busy making art and a million other things). Some days it might be a piece of art from someone we’ve been regularly covering on these pages (and maybe working with in terms of Cultivate), other days it might be something by an (almost) household name, on other days it might be a piece of art by someone who work we hadn’t known until the day we posted it, Today we feature a new (to us) Nick Grindrod piece that came this was via the Art Car Boot Fair’s artist line up announcement – The countdown to the 2026 Art Car Boot Fair, 30 days to go – Today the full list of participating artists for the always exciting London event has been announced…

We haven’t covered Nick’s art since 2022 and that Soho show that got him rather a lot of attention, before that he featured in a couple of Cultivate on-line shows. No idea about this piece in terms of size, it is another rather nice piece, we do like Nick Grindrod’s art. Here’s a bit from that 2022 review….

“I hate to say it, I detest using the term, I certainly hate to hear it said of my own work, but Nick Grindrod’s art is rather nice. Now I’m not saying ‘nice’ in that couldn’t-really-care-less uncommitted polite way the term is often used when reacting to art, not the Minty “that’s nice” way of things, but his work really is ‘nice’. Nice, neat, refreshing, clean cut, cool, dare I say harmless? His use of colour is his strength, he seems to instinctively know just where to place that particular lime green or that red or acid yellow…”
