Today’s Slice Of Art, we did say we would do this, maybe not every single day, more often than not though, there can never be too much art on these pages, here comes another slice…

A simple feature, just an almost daily slice of the art posted. Some days it might be a piece of art from someone we’ve been regularly covering on these pages (and maybe working with in terms of Cultivate), other days it might be something by an (almost) household name, on other days it might be a piece of art by someone who work we hadn’t known until the day we posted it, Today we feature a couple of screen shots of a film of a Sterling Ruby installation that is just coming to an end in Paris.

“Till Death Do Us Part is an exhibition of new works by Sterling Ruby that includes a suite of collages and cast bronze sculptures that continue the artist’s practice of using flowers as both raw and iconographic material”. The show is happening in Gagosian’s Paris space until October 3rd 2026…

Yes, I know this is a Gagosian show and yes, all that Gagosian stand for and yes, not really what Organ is about, yes we should be digging around in the back street galleries and covering artists like Hilda Kortei, I know all that, but this is Sterling Ruby and it is no secret than Steling is much admired around here and really the only rule for this Today’s Slice Of Art feature is that there is no rule…

Actually, the first time I really got excited about Sterling Ruby was as a result of seeing the work in the fleah via Gagosian’s big dog booth a Frieze London back in the different world that was 2019….
