Shall we write a new editorial? Who needs a damn editorial let alone a new one? Who needs Organ for that matter? No time for editorials, Let the music block be unblocked, let the actual music do the actual walking and the actual talking while we play catch up with it all now we’ve got those three Cardiacs bits out of the way. Exact same thing as last time once again, another five (or so) slices of music that have passed our way recently cherry picked for your delight and however you like to slice it and of course it was the price of pears and here comes the editorial.
Five? There’s something rather compelling about five. Cross-pollination? Five more? Is there another way? A better way? A cure for pulling flying swordfish out of the clouds? Is there a rhyme? Is there a reason? Was there ever a reason? What do reasons make? Five more? Cake oil? Everything must go somewhere and no, we never do and the proof of the pudding is in that proof reading. When we started this thing, oh never mind, it doesn’t matter why we started this damn thing, we never should have done and like we asked last time, does anyone bother reading the editorial? Does anyone ever actually look down the rabbit hole or is it all just method acting? We do really try to listen to everything that comes in, we do it so you don’t have to, we are very (very) very very picky about what we actually post on these fractured pages or about what gets played on the radio or indeed what we hang in a gallery. Cut to the chase, never mind the editorial, skip this bit, there’s music further down the page, five or so pieces of music that have come our way in the last few days and what’s Wordsworth? Just the basic facts and links and those sounds (and visuals), that’s surely all you need from us?
Here we go, five more slices of music that have recently come our way, this time we start with something from right here in London (where once we put on far too many gigs for our own good…)

1: Scared Little Toaster – and a piece of music called No Decaf. The London band are opening the Yowie bill at London’s Strongroom tonight, Friday October 24th – “set against a backdrop of jagged, mathy rhythms and chaotic, noisy bass riffs, encapsulates the intense frustration of encountering disappointment – whether that be a lukewarm, decaffeinated beverage or a burnt slice of toast”.
They describe themselves as an “experimental noise rock/noise punk bass and drums duo, with sporadic moments of jazz and the occasional use of a domestic electrical appliance”. This is one of only two tracks on their Bandcamp page right now so we’re guessing these are their early, rather promising, first moves…
2: Psychonaut and another rather compelling piece of music from the Mechelen, Belgium based band’s new album World Maker which in turn is out today 24th October, 2025 via Pelagic Records (yeah, I know, we’ll catch up with all these things we need to catch up with that art and Frieze and everything else has been keeping us from in a minute). Here come some links and the Bandcamp thing and well, more in a moment I expect
3: Lande hekt – Favourite Pair of Shoes is quite simply the first rather fine single from the album Lucky Now, out 30th January 2026 on Tapete Records. Video made by David Goodchild and filmed on Dartmoor and in Exeter in September 2025. Find more about the album via Bandcamp or www.landehekt.co.uk
4: Claire M Singer – And an absoloutely beautiful taste of her next album; “Gleann Ciùin is the second album in a trilogy that explores two narratives: my journeys across the vast landscapes and weathered peaks of the Cairngorms in Aberdeenshire, and my exploration of the rich, resonant tones of pipe organs, contemplating the weight of history and the timeless beauty of these majestic instruments.” Claire M Singer. The album is out on November 7, 2025, here’s the Bandcamp link with more details
5: Preyrs – The debut release of a new project from Amy Montgomery and Michael Mormecha (Mojo Fury). Their album The Wounded Healer is set for release on 14th November via Pelagic, I expect we’ll explore more later, for now here’s a rather intriguing first taste. Here’s a bag load of links
And while we’re here…
The Ullulators and something jusy issued on vinyl, something called Simply Conscious Dub which dates from their glorious free festival/Club Dog at the Robey/Better Days Tapes days when the beautiful band appeared reguarly on the then very zine powered D.I.Y pages of Organ. This still sound as good today as it did back there…
And while we’re still here, a classic done in classic style, Primal Scream covering Hawkwind…
