Shall we write a new editorial? Who needs a damn editorial let alone a new one? Who needs Organ for that matter? Brave said yer man, yeah right, respect those shoes. No time for editorials, let the actual music do the actual walking and the actual talking while we play catch up with it all. Exact same thing as last time once again, another five (or so) slices of music that have passed our way recently cherry picked for your delight and however you like to slice it and of course it was the price of pears and here comes the editorial.
Five? There’s something rather compelling about five. Cross-pollination? Five more? Is there another way? A better way? A cure for pulling flying swordfish out of the clouds? Is there a rhyme? Is there a reason? Was there ever a reason? What do reasons make? Five more? Cake oil? Snake oil? Bake the oil, everything must go somewhere and no, we never do and the proof of the pudding is in that proof reading. When we started this thing, oh never mind, it doesn’t matter why we started this damn thing, we never should have done and like we asked last time, does anyone bother reading the editorial? Does anyone ever actually look down the rabbit hole or is it all just method acting? We do really try to listen to everything that comes in, we do it so you don’t have to, we are very (very) very very picky about what we actually post on these fractured pages or about what gets played on the radio or indeed what we hang in a gallery. Cut to the chase, never mind the editorial, skip this bit, there’s music further down the page, five or so pieces of music that have come our way in the last few days and what’s Wordsworth? Just the basic facts and links and those sounds (and visuals), that’s surely all you need from us?
Here we go, five more slices of music that have recently come our way, this time we start with something more from Copenhagen…
1: Lips Glued – “Hi, we’re Lips Glued, a Copenhagen based leftfield-pop trio, and our fresh new LP A Case Of A Racing Heart is starting its launch! November 18th we are releasing the first single Head In My Lap. Listen to the single here. For us, the song provides an optimistic and hopeful space, in moments of frustration with oneself and the people around us. It’s about accepting that frustration and welcoming it, in situations where the noise between people becomes hard to tune out. But most importantly we wish that you listen and reflect on how it resonates within you. we really like what you’re doing at Organ zine, so we hope you might be interested in writing about the song. The debut album is out in spring 2026 via new Danish indie label Okay Records”.
Well it is an interesting first taste, leftfield as they say, we await more, the pieces of music we can hear on the YouTube topic page bode well… More via their Instagram I guess
2: Oneohtrix Point Never – We are on the cusp of a new album from the always rewarding Oneohtrix Point Never. Tranquilizer is available from November 21st (Digital & Physical) via Warp Records – Bandcamp
3: Sampa the Great has just released her brand new single Can’t Hold Us via Loma Vista Recordings, “marking the beginning of a new era for the Zambian musician and rapper”. Here’s the sound and the visual stuff, here’s a link sampathegreat.com
4: Bad Nerves – Here then is Bad Nerves’ latest release, their brand-new single Loner, officially out on the very same day they kick off their explosive UK tour, which will culminate in their biggest headline show to date at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire. Those November dates: 18th O2 Institute 2, Birmingham, 19th The Grove, Newcastle, 20th Art School, Glasgow, 22th The Wardrobe, Leeds, 23rd O2 Academy 2, Liverpool, 25th O2 Shepherds Bush Empire, London. Find a pile of links and more via the band’s Instagram page
5: A Fromal Horse, a band we rather like around here, find themselves on a frankly not very progressive (in the real sense) bill of so called Prog bands put on by the people at Prog Gigs (let’s just politely say their ideas on what prog might be and our ideas on the same subject differ somewhat). The gig happens on Saturday 6th December, in London at Camden’s Fiddler’s Elbow, you might find the bill a touch more enticing than we do and well the idea in terms of what Prog The Forest is is a good one. Prog The Forest is an all day gig headlined by Jump with a bill that features A Formal Horse + Hats Off Gentlemen It’s Adequate + Mother Black Cap + Alphaline + Dikajee.
Here’s something from the most recent A Formal Horse album, you can find a link to a review of it just down there…

And while we’re here, Patti Smith celebrating Neil Young‘s 80th birthday on November 13th. How good s he here in London back in the Summer – ORGAN THING: Neil Young and Chrome Heart at their very very best in London’s Hyde Park, Yusuf/Cat Stevens wasn’t too bad either…
