Those Art On A Postcard people might not be able ot run physical postvard sized art shows right now but they are keeping buzy with a series of podcasts of which they say they say “”We are excited to announce the launch of our brand new podcast – Art on a Podcast. Each week Rosa Torr interviews some of the best creative minds from artists to gallerists and curators. Guests include Patrick Hughes, Donata Wenders, Beth Greenacre and Vanessa Jackson RA and many more. These discussions focus on their practise, processes and artistic explorations, to inspire creativity and reveal an in-depth insight into the work of some of the worlds leading contemporary artists” – There’s been seven so far, you can find them all here, there’s some good things to be found in there, it might be a little polite at times (I think I might have been a little angrier about Boris), it is all very “nice”, but hey, that probably says more about me than presenter Rosa Torr,  you might want the questions to maybe bite a little more and yes talking about art is often frustrating when you don’t have the visuals, but hey, go do an on-line search while the interview runs in the background, like I just did while the Ben Edge interview was running. These podcasts are well worth exploring while we search for art and long for gallery walls and opening nights ot returm once more, they are rewarding, Rosa does coax things out of her subjects, actually her polite style does work rather well…

Meanwhile the recent Cultivate Gallery on-line show #43Artists hosted here on the Organ pages has now been viewed by just over 40,000 visitiors since it opened back on the evening of April 2nd. The show that features, as you might expect, 43 artists, and just over 250 pieces of work can still be viewed on-line, indeed there are no plans to take it down, Infact all seven of Cultivate’s on-line shows can be viewed here. Cultivate is mostly about phYsical gallery shows of course, on-line shows are something that aren’t seen as a replacement, just something that fits in alongside what we do (you do know Cultivate gallery is something that is run by the makers of Organ)   The next on-line show, according to page 43 of Vivian Goldman’s excellent book Revenge of The She Punks is to be called “(Far From The) Turmoil”, it was the second book to hand, the first didn’t offer up anything in terms of a title, Vivian did though. I imagine the 8th Cultivate on-line exhibition will happen in May, I expect I shall start work on it any moment now. (SW)
