Tim Fowler’s 100 Skull Project opens tomorrow night, Thursday 9th July 6-10pm at Noho studios – “A beautiful exhibition and event space in the heart of Fitzrovia, London”. For one night only You find the gallery at 67 Great Titchfield Street you’ll find the hundred skulls that Tim Fowler has been simultaneously painting in his studio and posting the progress of the one piece or the hundred pieces, depending upon how you see it.

One piece? One hundred pieces? He’s been sharing progress on his rather bright rather vivid social media feeds over the last couple of weeks. It certainly feels like one piece, as individual paintings they’re probably not that exciting (although I do of course love his use of colour), but as one piece involving one hundred paintings, the whole thing is rather exciting and yes, I have done this myself several times. Tim has done it before as well…

“Who remembers my 100 skull project? In 2018, the 100 skulls project transformed an empty Leicester gallery into a colourful installation. 100 unique skull canvases, created over seven days in front of a watching public. The installation sold out within hours! Eight years on, the project returns in a new form, created from my studio, with real-time livestreams, and on going social updates. This will all end with a one night pop up, that opens at Noho Studios, London, 9th July, 6–10pm. First come first served, with any remaining works available online after the opening. Each skull will be 40cm x 40cm, priced at £500”
