BBBBBBB – Poop Disco (Deathbomb Arc) – Well this is off-hinge, this is way too much sugar and orange juice and E numbers (or B numbers) and even more insanity than the insanity they threw at us last time. it goes, it goes, it goes yes, we have gone on about them before but then we have gone on about a lot of things before, are they sounding even more intensely on your toes and in your face this time? Cut cut cut to the chase or at least to the chaos, for it is chaos, this is chaos piled on chaos. Says here that they’re “one of the most prominent acts in the flourishing Japanese electronic hardcore scene”, don’t know about that and I have no idea what they’re like live, I suspect they’re even more intense (did I really just see a date announced for London’s Cafe Oto? Surely not? I must have imagined it, no way is that happening!). 

They are relentless, perpetual, they probably won’t keep the country clean, they’ve been around for ten years or so now, a so called “Victory Hardcore” group from Nagoya, Japan (whatever Victory Hardcore means), they are mostly producer/vocalist Saionji, vocalist Sawa, and occasional dancer MRO (who apparently performs live only once a year, adding a rare and unique element to their shows). And no, I didn’t imagine it, jsut announced, Cafe Oto, North London, 24th October, they’ll destroy the place! 

“BBBBBBB are known both for their completely irresponsible sense of ear searing arrangements, only topped by the absolute chaos of their live shows….” 

This is a buzz, this is insane breakcore, roarcore, bitcore, whatevercore, there’s no time to catch breath or try and push them into some kind of convenient pigeonhole, they are pushing it to their own the edges. Always on eleven and keep up if you can, hang on, they just threw those Cuban Boys into the frame, not though about those Cuban Boys in years, anyone remember them, that single we released? John Peel and all that? Thought not. Need more orange juice (and not Edwin’s kind), it isn’t throwaway though, it is pop like Cuban Boys were and it isn’t fifteen minutes of beans out of Warhol’s can of worms – this is deeper, and yes this is indeed sexier, dancier, and yes, we stole those two adjectives and as someone else said, “of course, both these adjectives may only apply to those who love being pressed to the ceiling of a basement while crowd surfing at a punk show in a squat. So decide carefully”. Are they really playing in the politeness of Oto? has anyone ever come anywhere near crowd surfing at Oto?! Oh look, there are no words, it is relentless, it is an onslaught, it is glorious, they never stick to their own status quo or anyone else’s, here’s the Bandcamp, there’s the beans, go go go, all you really needed was the signpost….
