ORGAN THING OF THE DAY: IGGY AND THE STOOGES, artist BIANCA HADDAD and…

Monday Monday, music Monday?  Just another manic Monday….A bag load of art and music just thrown together as Monday flew past in a mountain of unexciting art submissions trying to feed the time-eating monster that lives down the middle of the street,,, A bag load was the plan, but there wasn’t time to fill the bag.  Nothing wrong with things everyone loves, just no point real covering them here, Organ was never about rejecting big popular things in some sort of elitist we’re cooler than you crusade, it was just that all this other great stuff then never got any coverage anywhere was happening as well and why don’t they ever get any coverage? And the gold on the ceiling is just an occasional diamond in their mainstream media dirt, and hell yes, it has always been better down here in the undergrowth   Here, for your enhoyment and further exploration then, are some things both big and small, all equally worthy of your time, and with that in mind, Johnny Marr has his first solo album out sometime around about now, probably all over the mainstream media, and really not in need of coverage here, but hey, he is rather good, you don ‘t need us to tell you how good he can be, here’s the single….

And here come that street-walking fella with a Napalm Death t-shirt. Iggy time, them Stooges have a new album out sometime very soon, it will probably be all over the mainy tentacle of the media any moment now so you don’t need us….

There’s a press release for the new wreckord kicking around our in-box somewhere, the thing is called Ready To Die, it comes out on April 30th, it will no doubt |rightly) be covered everywhere, if you want to read the hype from the label, head over to their site, no need to repeat it all here, the record will probably rule, we expect nothing less, I think we can still trust the Stooges not to let us down, most bands eventually do let us down, like that bald guy in the Smashing Pumpkins…

“My motivation in making any record with the group at this point is no longer personal.  It’s just a pig-headed fucking thing I have that a real fucking group when they’re an older group they also make fucking records.  They don’t just go and twiddle around on stage to make a bunch of fucking money…”

Enough of all that, here’s a photo of artist Blanca Haddad, the rather forceful Barcelona-based painter from Venezuela, can currently be experienced as part of the Yeastie Girls show at Cultivate, Vyner Street, E2, catch her on Facebook  That was one of Blanca’s paintings at the top of the page….
