ORGAN THING OF THE DAY: NERO at HOXTON GALLERY
A collection of collaborative pieces from Millo and Benjamin Murphy. A brick coloured subtly lit gallery alive with striking black and white pieces, the results of a collaboration between the two artists and a well balanced combination of styles and a rather intriguing take on inner city reality, of everyday strangeness – a complex simplicity, an easiness that has depth to it. The result of a month and a half of being locked in a studio together with a lot of black coffee, the body of work has a great deal of narrative to it, a sense of a genuine story behind each piece, or at least a sense implied…
