On a day like today it seems fitting to share the new Miraculous Mule video, a track from last year and we assume a track on the forthcoming album – indeed it is, the new album is called Two Tonne Testimony, it comes out on March 24th, the video was made by the Mule’s own Patrick McCarthy. The album review will be along a in a day or two, there it is up there sitting on the shelf waiting for the right moment for that first play… it seemed like a fitting day to post the new video today (although we could have posted the Toy Dolls ludicrous version of Nellie The Elephant and all that trump trump trump… what a ridiculous day it is). Is Trump really being sworn in today? What would Hunter be saying? Here’s the new Mule video…
.
And we do wonder, no, we won’t go there, we’ll leave you with the Mule and a slice of life and go avoid it all today…
LIFE…
“You have the right to bear arms if you’ve got the right coloured arms” – Out of the 2017 City of Culture come Hull’s Life with a new song, “The protest song lands on Donald Trump’s inauguration day. Fresh from their month long, main support jaunt around Europe with kindred spirits Slaves at the back end of 2016, Life drop new track Euromillions, their first since last summer’s Rare Boots.”
“Euromillions is the four-piece at their aggressive, politically charged best; a no nonsense, bass driven track that sticks two fingers up to the alt-right movement and the new world order. The song sees front man Mez and his kid brother Mick sharing vocal duties. Mez and Mick’s cutting lyrics and wordplay are firmly in check throughout, with Mick spitting this standout line twice to hammer his point home: .Euromillions will feature on Life’s as-yet-untitled debut album, recorded recently in London with Grammy winning producer and confidante Ian Dowling. The album is set for release early summer, ahead of Life’s busy festival season and in the year the band’s pride and joy, their hometown Hull, thrives as the official UK city of culture”.
