ORGAN: Five more musical things with Korto, Lydia Lunch Retrovirus, Murmur Tooth, Diamond Terrifier Cipher, Vonneumann and a touch of G.L.O.S.S…

Come up screaming, five more musical things for some reason or other than remains a mystery, is there any reason? Reason’t to be cheerful? I mean yes, there’s a reason and music is important and there is always a reason but is there a reason for all these Organ things and this posting of links and signposts and the time it takes and price of coffee and here’s four people from a band called Diamond Terrifier Cipher… Five more musical things, well six actually, but five new things or things happen now or….

1: DIAMOND TERRIFIER CIPHER – The Diamond Terrifier Cipher entry here has been removed due to an outbreak of music industry bullshit, here instead, for your enjoyment. is a Dune Rats video…

2: KORTO are from Haute-Savoie, they talk of space rock and afro kraut, Haute-Savoie is apparently in France, they just released a rather fluid new album, find more details via Bandcamp, meanwhile someone said that “Korto are a diesel motor launched without mercy on the highway of supersonic kraut rock married to space punk and drugged by synthetic pop. Backed by a burning bass/drum, between psychedelic steamroller and afrobeats, an acidic or graceful guitar, and some nonchalant vocals, the trio is outside of any weary labels : Korto is not heir of an era or from a movement, but rather of an image that we’ve given carte blanche. Korto is a 3-wheeled race car that combines the past to future, advocates free public transportation and doesn’t order dessert at a restaurant. The band would invite Turing Machine, The Ex, The Young Gods, Goat or even Fela Kuti for a meal in a road house and leave without paying for it”.

3: MURMUR TOOTH – “Dropping Like Flies is dedicated to the passing of time, to the peeling of memory, and to the shedding of skins. It is also for Mike, the reason for the happy song”, Murmur Tooth, from New Zealand via Berlin, have a new six track mini album or EP or whatever you wish to call it, “Once a band, now a solo project, Murmur Tooth is the songs of Leah Hinton. Sometimes dark, sometimes light, sometimes grimy, sometimes beautiful, not for elevators, not for dancing”  You can download the new release and pay what you want for said release via the Murmur Tooth Bandcamp page

Lydia Lunch Retrovirus

4: The band known as LYDIA LUNCH RETROVIRUS hit London this coming week which in turn gives us an excuse to post a lice or two of beautiful noise from the band, the hih happens this Thursday November 30th – “No Wave iconoclast and Big Sexy Noise-queen Lydia Lunch returns to Cafe Oto after a fantastic, sold-out show here last year. RETROVIRUS sees her joined by Herculean guitarist Weasel Walter (Flying Luttenbachers), fret-destroying bassist Tim Dahl (Child Abuse) and legendary skins-basher Bob Bert (Sonic Youth/Pussy Galore)”. Find a hellstorm of their music via Bandcamp

5  VONNEUMANN are from Rome, they say are “just an old fashioned free-rock band with tons of electronics to cheer you up!” This is the first video from the new album NorN, released on 10 November 2017. it’s a video-edit of 5.02, The full track (6.38) is to be found on the record that in turn can be found via their Bandcamp page or down there underneath the video

And while we’re here G.L.O.S.S may be no more, but we were reminded of them earlier this week (thank you Mr Chainswaw), and hey, here’s some Girls Living Outside Society’s Shit, you can find more via their Bandcamp, these things are worth posting….

G.L.O.S.S. (Girls Living Outside Society’s Shit) were a trans-feminist hardcore punk band based out of Olympia Washington.[1] The group formed in 2014 and consisted of members Corey Evans (drums), Sadie “Switchblade” Smith (vocals), Jake Bison (guitar), Tannrr Hainsworth (guitar), and Julaya Antolin (bass guitar), they lasted until late 2016. “Soon after announcing that they would not be signing a deal with Epitaph Records the band gave a statement to popular punk and hardcore zine Maximum Rock and Roll stating that they had decided to end the band. The reason for the breakup revolved around the mental and physical stress that being in a touring band involves, and the toll this has taken on their home lives, community involvement, and personal growth. They felt that the large amount of visibility and attention the band had gained made it difficult for them to stay “honest and inward”. The statement also explained that the buzz around the band and the polarizing effect that it had on people was beginning to overshadow the band itself, and that this was not a healthy position for the band and its members to be in. All the members in G.L.O.S.S. remain friends and the breakup was a mutual decision between all the members.[5] The band’s records will remain in print after the breakup. G.L.O.S.S. will be donating all the money they make on Bandcamp post-breakup to a homeless shelter in Olympia, Washington called the Interfaiths Works Emergency Overnight Shelter”

More of this musical stuff tomorrow or the next day, when we come up screaming again maybe, or maybe not….
