What do artists have on their bookshelves?
Books (a companion exhibition) is just that. Book opened a couple of weeks ago, an art exhibition, artists painting books or responding to the title in some kind of way, Book was February’s Monthly Cultivate on-line art show, this is a smaller companion exhibition (the March show, Impart, will be along later this month). We invited the artists who took part in Book to point their cameras at their book shelves, then we invited a few other people, other artists who had participated in previous Cultivate exhibitions as well as a writer or a musician or two. A simple companion collection of images, an exhibition if you like. What do artists have on their bookshelves? An exhibition to be continued maybe? Almost certainly (sw)
Please click on an image to enlarge it or to run the slide show, the exhibition was designed for people to view on something more than just phone… Thank you

And if you do feel like making a small donation – We bring all this art, music and underculture to you for free, we really don’t want to clutter up our pages with annoying adverts, no one wants that, but it does take up a lot of time, hours and hours of time. If you should feel like supporting Organ/Cultivate (for it is one in the same) by making a small donation to help keep all this flowing that would be delightful, thank you.
Coming next? Well maybe these on line shows are monthly now, we did six in the first six months of 2021, this is our second of 2022, we will follow it up with an online show called Impart in March. Now if only the damn aloof elitist Arts Couuncil would see thia as being worthy of actual support, they do like to tell us in private how valued all this open-door Cultivating is. Seems officially they prefer those who talk it to those of us who actually walk it, once day we’ll work it why…
