Quick parish notice, an Organ preview as it were. Opening next week, if you’re reading this this week that is, if not then opening on May 29th 2026, Hungry for Trash, the latest Kembra Pfahler exhibition over here in London, once again brought to you by Emalin, this time at the gallery’s Clerk’s House space in Shoreditch; “Emalin is pleased to present Hungry for Trash, a solo exhibition of new works by American artist Kembra Pfahler, the artist’s fourth at the gallery and her first at The Clerk’s House”. The dates you need are 29th May until 25th July 2026 with a so called private view on 28th May, 6–8pm. Nothing to indicate if you need to get on a list or not, but we do expect it to be busy.

Emalin are, as their tag line says; “a contemporary art gallery based in London since 2016”. We’ve been covering their events and exhibitions on a regular basis over those last ten years, Kembra Pfahler alongside Evgeny Antufiev, has been a standout over those ten years, especially that first show of hers back in the first year of the gallery’s life, the Organ review of that night remains one of our most read website pages, indeed ten years on it is still visited on a regular basis. If truth be told, we’ve been a little underwhelmed by Emalin in recent years and it is disappointing that they still show no real interest in the art or artists of East London, have they ever shown a piece of work by an East London artist? We are rather looking forward to another visit from New York’s Kembra Pfahler though…
