While we digest the the man’s excellent new solo album (full review along in a moment, it is classic Hammill), The Amorphous Androgynous have released a teaser video of their recent collaboration with Peter Hammill, We Persuade Ourselves We Are Only Immortal to celebrate the release hitting streaming services from May 21. Featuring Paul Weller on piano and acoustic , the Chesterfield Philharmonic Choir , 25 piece strings and all manner of instrumentation from harp to a plethora of vintage synth alongside sax by Brian Hopper (Caravan / Soft Machine) and lead guitar by Ray Fenwick ( Spencer Davis Group / Ian Gillan Band ) all set within the AA’s trademark sonic twist and samplerdelia .
