I guess we just pick up like we nearly did last time and where we left off and who needs who? Still no time for editorials, repeat, replete, reheat, let the actual music do the actual walking and the actual talking. Exact same thing as last time once again, another five (or so) slices of music that have passed our way recently, five slices of music cherry picked for your delight and however you like to slice it and of course it was the price of bird seed and yes we did say all this last time (surely no one reads the intro when the music is waiting down there)

Five? I guess we should, another five? There’s something rather compelling about five. Cross-pollination? Five more? Is there another way? A better way? A cure for pulling flying swordfish out of the clouds? Is there a rhyme? Is there a reason? What do reasons make? Five more? Cake oil? Snake oil? Bake the oil, everything must go somewhere and no, we never do and the proof of the pudding is in that proof reading and who reads editorials?

When we started this thing, oh never mind, it doesn’t matter why we started this damn thing, we never should have done and like we asked last time, who are the cake? We do really try to listen to everything that comes in, we are very (very) very very picky about what we actually post on these fractured pages or about what gets played on the radio or indeed what we hang in a gallery.

Things you don’t want to read in the e.mail inbox headlines Part 98; “Nickelback release eleventh studio album Everything Under The Sun…” or maybe “Shed bloody Seven share new single ‘Let The Good Times Roll’ | New album ‘Shed Seven’ out 8th January 2027 via …” These are the kind of things that clutter our lives, the things we put up with every day so you don’t have to….

Cut to the chase, never mind the editorial, skip this bit, there’s music further down the page, five or so pieces of music that have come our way in the last few days and what’s Wordsworth? On these Five Pieces of Music pages you just the basic facts and links and those sounds (and visuals), that’s surely all you need from us on these Five pages we reguarly post?

Here we go, five more slices of music that have recently come our way, this time we start somewhere in… well… well we could only be in Iceland…

1: Árstíðir – We’ll just park this here for your enjoyment: “Krummavísur is a traditional nursery rhyme known and loved by every living Icelander. 3: Blackwater Holylight – Well, shall we mention them again? What is any of this worth? What are wordsworth? Nothing more than a field of golden daffodils by a lake of black water? The trio that is Blackwater Holylight have a new single and video or whatever these things are these days. As we said last time back when we were exploring the album, the three women say they are “pondering the experience of being disembodied” – well that was something they said abour their album, an album full of lush moody riffs that build again and again to a collection of electric sometimes metallic climaxes and we did cover their album and say all that a month or two ago – ORGAN THING: Blackwater Holylight’s new album, Not Here Not Gone – there’s is a lush sound, a rich, a full bodied sound, dreamy at times, heavy at times, both together most of the time…

“Today, dreamy hard rock trio Blackwater Holylight share their new video Spades. The track is taken from their recent album Not Here Not Gone, which is out now via Suicide Squeeze Records.

On the video, Sunny Faris of the band said: This video was all for fun! We wanted to make a silly video with our friends and family to finish the year off with a project that felt freeing and creative for everyone. We hope you enjoy SPADES – a journey through an underground poker heist gone wrong!” – I’m not sure I want fun from a band like this but hey, do rather like the music they make///

4: Ritual Error – “Hell yes! Here’s the lead single from Ritual Error’s autumnal release, Terminal With Benefits and for those who didn’t clock the album coverage here’s the link and all the details and the price of apples then here it is should you need more (and you surely do?) – ORGAN: Albums, Albums, Albums – Ritual Error get Terminal With Benefits, Gates Of Kiev’s glorious Prog Rock attack, Mr.Phylzzz and their fear of something or other and…

5: The Chats – Taken from the album Half Cut, an album out on March 5, 2027 and you do have to like that they needed to say no AI was used in the making of the rather classy video….
